ART in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire and The Cotswolds

There is an extremely broad and interesting range of Artists working in the area, many of whom are already nationally recognised such as Jacqueline Williams NEAC, Moira Huntley RWS, Rory Morell, and others now internationally known with links with the area such as Damien Hirst, Peter Granville-Edmunds (exhibiting at Florence Biennale in 2005).

One of the most respected foundries for Bronze casting, Pangolin, is based in the Stroud area.

In Cheltenham alone (renowned for its international Arts Festivals – Music, Literature, Jazz and Science) there are four separate organisations of Artists, of which the Cheltenham Group of (Professional) Artists is the front runner with a Members Exhibition as well as an open competition being held each year. Throughout the area there are pockets of activity with Open Studio Events in the Stroud Valleys, the Forest, West Oxfordshire, The Fosseway and in local centres such as Stow on the Wold, Burford, Broadway.
