Welcome

Welcome to our home page. Our aim here is to give you a flavour of the art work available at the gallery as well as to highlight one or two new departures, which we trust you will find as exciting and interesting as we do. Read on!

Painting

We continue to feature work by artists whose names you may be familiar with from previous exhibitions. These include Míla Fürstová, Jeff Powell, Rory Morrell, Anthony Slessor, Mai Anh, Mary Stork and Beth Fletcher, to name but a few.

Cornish artists

Cornish artists are at the forefront of what we do. They dominate our September activity and several new names will feature in the last show of the year.

Martin’s publishes
two books

Following the success of our Royal Academicians exhibition and the launch of ‘A Passion for Change’ (see below), the next part of this series will feature Impressionism (French, Spanish and English) and is being worked on now. The next book will be published alongside a major exhibition in Spring 2012.

A Passion for Change

This publication was produced to accompany the Royal Academicians exhibition and is written by the gallery owner and collector, Ian James. It is an introduction to a series of works about the collection, how it started and where, and what some of the motivations were. It provides an interesting insight and is professionally produced in full colour. Available at £8.50.

A Year in Venice

Printed in Cornwall to complement the exhibition by John Trigg, this 60+ page publication is in full colour and is tremendous value for an art book of this calibre. It is available from the gallery at £12.
