20 October Talk: An Introduction to Matisse. Art Historian Fiona James will give us an insight into the man and his work. Event begins at 6.30pm. Tickets are limited and cost £6, this includes a glass of ‘bubbles’. Please contact the gallery to book.
22 October Talk: Matisse and Poetry. Matisse developed the habit of reading poetry every morning before he began to work. Brief French poetry readings by renown poets Duncan Forbes and Michael Henry, with an introduction by Tricia Torrington. Event begins at 6.30pm. 24 November Talk: Glass Sculpture. Sally Fawkes and Richard Jackson’s glass sculptures always cause a stir at the gallery, fascinating many of our visitors.
